Jones highlighted concerning trends from the SHI 2023 report, indicating a continuous decline in overall sentiment among seafarers. Issues such as disrespectful treatment onshore and inadequate support from companies emerged prominently. Additionally, challenges related to security, particularly in the Red Sea, underscored the need for improved resources and preparedness onboard ships.
