A shipowner owes a total of USD 150,000 to the Ukrainian crew.

The cargo ship AMUR under the Bulgarian flag with 12 Ukrainian sailors on board was arrested in Port of Burgas, Bulgaria as per the decision of the District Court, reports say.

The cargo ship under the Bulgarian flag has been remaining off the harbour since 24 June. The ship was delayed because the Amur Shipping shipowners did not pay wage arrears to the crew.

The shipmaster, a Bulgarian citizen, reported to have filed a lawsuit for the pending dues. Amur Shipping owes a total of USD 150,000 to 12 Ukrainian-born crew members.

The ship was previously named Asian Dream.  The name was changed in March, when the company Amur Shipping became the owner of the dry-cargo vessel.

In March 2015 the ship Asian Dream was delayed in the Port of Varna.  14 Ukrainian sailors starved for several days on board over the stand-by.
