Sales of Bunker Strong At The Port Of Singapore

According to an article published in Asia News some 4.26 million metric tonnes (mt) of marine fuel were sold at the Port of Singapore during November – 2.7% up on the 4.15 million mt sold in October.

What States Says

The number of bunker calls at the Port of Singapore in November (vessels of 75 GT and above) was 3,359 – down by 37 from the 3,396 recorded in October.

Vessel arrivals at the port (vessels of 75 GT and above) fell 2.1% m-o-m, from 7,502 in October to 7,347 in November.

Marine Fuel

November’s total also represents a 4.4% year-on-year increase compared with the 4.08 million mt of marine fuel sales posted during the same month in 2019.

Sales of marine fuel oil (MFO) 380 cSt, having edged over the 1 million mt mark for the first time since 2019 in October, fell to 995,100 mt in November.

In total, 45.55 million mt of marine fuel has been sold in the Port of Singapore during the first 11 months of 2020. In comparison, at the same stage in 2019, the port had registered 43.00 million mt of bunker sales.

LSFO

The 2.04 million mt of low-sulphur fuel oil (LSFO) 380 cSt sold at the global bunker hub last month accounted for approximately half of all marine fuel sales.

LSFO 180 cSt sales saw a significant month-on-month (m-o-m) increase last month – rising from 10,500 mt in October to 185,900 mt in November.

Elsewhere, some 325,500 mt of low sulphur marine gasoil (LSMGO) and 597,900 mt of LSFO 100 cSt was sold last month.
