Three Dead, Six Missing in East China Ship Collision

On August 19, 3 people were reported dead and 6 missing after two cargo ships were involved in collision in China.

What happened?

The accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, the cargo ship “ANDASHENG” collided with another cargo ship “XIN DONG YUAN”, off the coast of east China’s Fujian province. The vessel “XIN DONG YUAN” reportedly sank during the incident.

3 dead, 6 missing:

During the accident, 13 people reportedly fell into the water, the rescuers managed to pull out 4 people alive and found three bodies. The search is on for 6 people who were reported missing.

The maritime authorities have initiated investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
