On October 28, the first LNG dual-fuel 7,000TEU container ship “ZIM AMBER” built by New Yangzi Shipbuilding for shipowner SEASPAN was delivered and put into operation by ZIM, reports Xinde Marine News.

It made its maiden voyage to Haiphong Port, the largest port in northern Vietnam. The LNG dual-fuel 7000TEU container ship is an iconic ship type of Yangzijiang’s comprehensive transformation and construction of green new energy ships. It is the first dual-fuel medium-sized container ship equipped with B-type fuel tanks in China.

This project includes a total of 15 series ships, all of which are built by New Yangzi Shipbuilding. On October 26, Yangzijiang, SEASPAN and ZIM held a grand christening ceremony for the first batch of three sister ships at New Yangzi Shipbuilding.
